when did the NEW PADS come with new MPC 1000's??

potentially good deal on a black 1000 - it was a bought new, from Guitar Center a year ago, was wondering if it has the new or old pads on it? Anyone know when AKAI started putting the new pads on them things?

its a toss up. even if they started making them with the new pads over a year ago. that mpc might have been older stock at that gc. you have to look at it to tell. or tell them what you are looking for. when you move one pad. the others around it will move with it. or you can pull up the corner of pads 1,4,13,16 on the newer pads it will pull out of the case.
