I know the answer is probally around here somewhere but i have searched and havnt found anything. I just wanted to know what the maximum size of CF card that the mpc1000 will except?

Officially 2GB, as you probably know. But there have been rumors that 4GB and 8GB can work. Honestly, I'm also hoping that even larger sizes like 16 and 32GB will work.

I have a Sandisk 8GB card coming in the mail, any day now. I'll do some tests and let everyone know how it works with an MPC1000 and JJ OS1.

yeaaahp. i have a 2gb card. and a couple 1gb's full of drum kits. i still haven't filled out the card. i've been using it since this time last year.

I've used it since I had the AKAI OS and used it through all the JJ's.

Aright just reporting back like I said I would-- 8gb card, Sandisk Extreme III works flawlessly on JJ OS1.

But the big surprise is how damm fast this card is!

I didn't really think that a high-performance card would make a difference, but this thing is SEVERAL TIMES faster than my old card in all the tests I did. The old card was 2gb Sandisk Ultra II. Real sick, I'm happy...
