so the sample is just an 1/8 note square wave.

on the filter tab i put a low pass filter on the first filter and set the freq to 50, link on the second. i dont know what link does but i like it. (care to explain for extra cred?)

on the LFO tab, i set the LFO to a square wave , set the rate to .25 and knocked both filters up to 100

i like what i get except the popping, which i know comes from the LFO waveform.

can i get rid of that popping?

Are you looping the original sample by any chance? I would also check that your start and end points are at "zero-crossings" or whatever. Also try using tiny fade-in and fade-out on your sample, if you got an external sample editor.

I've had situations where using filter tricks would bring out the popping in the sample itself.
