Hi everyone, I've been reading this forum a lot in the past few weeks as I saved up for/finally decided to buy an MPC. I was all set to get the MPC500 when I (luckily and coincidentally) came across a lightly used 1000 for $500. Anyways...now I've got a few questions!
First of all...pads 1 and 2 are significantly less sensitive than the other 14 pads. I checked the pad sensitivity, it is the same for all the pads. I even reset the factory presets, still less sensitive. I was wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem and how I might be able to fix it?
On a related note, there was something kinda...moving around in there, it sounded like. I ignored it for a while, in denial and pretending my MPC was jusssst fine. I ended up taking the back panel off to try to clean out some dust to discovered that the loose object was a 256MB upgrade which had apparently fallen out of its slot. I took this out of the unit completely, but just out of curiosity...what would even happen if it put it in (since the maximum upgrade is 128MB)?
I think that's it for now...I'm sure I will have plenty of other questions but I will try to consult other places first (i.e. manual, search function, internet, common sense) so as not to clog up this board with retarded questions and get a million "do your own research" replies.
Thanks for any help!
