swapping flash cards

for the past while i've been using a kingston 1 gig card but recently scored an 8 gig, also a kingston (same specs)

i'm running jjos1 4.99i and everything boots up from the card

so my question is, should i find a way to copy from old to new before the new card is loaded?

in other words, will inserting a blank 8 gig card and transfering via usb not work

If u have everything backed up to ur pc, u can just plug in the new cf card, hook the mpc up to the pc and start dragging and dropping data.
