I was just going through my tutorials, learning the thing when the screen became kinda gray.

Its like a gray rectangle superimposed over the screen. I can still rea and use the MPC, but I am really worried, because I just bought it and have little money.

Any troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using the free JJOS if that helps.

I am trying the shift+Jog Wheel trick to no avail. Do I have to do this from a certain screen? Confused.

Thanks a lot bro.

I cannot get it to work. I have a feeling it is the right thing, but something is wrong with my approach. Like I am either doing it from the wrong location, or something else is amiss.

Thanks again though and any other suggestions are appreciated.

naw its deffinatly not shift+jog cuz you can do that on any screen, it doesnt matter. hold on just googled it and got somethin.

Q: How can I change the contrast after I’ve installed the new OS?
A: Hold [STOP] and turn the DATA wheel to adjust the contrast. After you’ve set the contrast press [MAIN] so the setting will get stored.

try that let me know if it works. peace

That did it!

It's funny because I tried toying with everything but the stop button.

At least I know it is nothing serious...I must've triggered it accidentally.
