new board or a sound module

i just recently bought an mpc and i need to add some melodies and im confused about what to get,right now i got a yamaha psr292 it disgust me , i was thinkin either buy a module and use my psr as a controller or get a new controller so i can **** with the knobs n shit and ssign them to the module functions,if u can do that,orrrr buy a emu mk6 keyboard so i get a new board plus the new sound bank ,, can anyone gimmie sum suggestions and feel free to advise other things cuz i kind of have no idea what the **** im talkin about anyway i just got into hardware after a year of software and im frustrated that i cant play melodies on my beats yet

Get a Motif or a Triton. Reason why, they are both good samplers, good synths, good sound modules and good midi controllers and/or slaves with tweakable sounds.

yeah i was thinkin about it ,but then i thought am i ready to drop 1500 bills on a a new piece after i just dropped 900 on a mpc just to get sum decent melodies ,i mean thatd be like a totaly new workstation added onto the mpc i dont think theres any need for 2 sequencers ,not sayin its not right to have that its ill if u got the loot but i barely ever have that much loot and i just want nessecitys for now,and most of the things they do the mpc can do anyways i rather pick up sum type of synth

There are MANY features they can do that the 1000 cannot. Yeah, maybe you don't want to spend the money I understand. Get you a oxygen 8 keyboard (midi controller - much easier on the pocket) and get some decent sounds to load up into your MPC, midi it with the oxy and lay basslines. That would be a cheaper solution that getting a keyboard. But you'd still have to get sounds into you MPC. You can get sample disk, load into your PC/mac and via USB import them into you MPC and play the basslines via OXY.

Another solution (spending no money), does your PSR have midi in/out? Is so you can use that as a midi slave. Have bass/synths samples on your mpc and play them via PSR. Now you just need to download and/or sample different sounds and load them into your MPC. ALL without spending money. Be smart and think of different ways to do things. Look at the particulars of your gear and FIND ways around things.

i too just switched over from softs to hard, and now i combine the two! i am looking into getting a sound module, and i'm leaning over towards the MOTIF rack, otherwise I might get the triton rack, if you check on EBAY you could possibly find an EMU sound module for about the same price you paid for your ps292 thingy..i don't know what model, but i know it's a crappy keyboard you could play. Anyways, yeah, i would get sound modules and connect your keyboard as the controller and midi it with your mpc and use your mpc's sequencer to sequence things. You WILL make some sick azz beats if you have talent and you could get these modules. gone.

I use a mophatt with my MPC and its tight. YOu can use the presets or make your own sounds (up to 512 sounds) and control it with your MPC. I use a cheap midi keyboard and make melodies that way. I also use reason and control that with my MPC at the same time using the other midi bus. It takes time to learn the midi stuff but I just leaned the basics and its working for me.Peace

yeah i tried using my psr to control the mpc sounds but its like u can only assign one sample per key and i want one sample mapped out across the whole board ,its not that im not willin to spend any many , i just have a budget of around 600 bills . i was lookin at the mk6 like i said cuz id get a new board out of it and a new sound bank for like 600 bills,any of yall have any experience with that board? would it be the same as havin a midi controller and a mo phat sound module
