what serial number are old style pads?

Hi a friend of mine has some mpc1000 in stock he wants to get rid off and i want to know how can i tell if the mpc1000 is the old style pads or new .

heres what they tols me form label info

"I have checked the stock of MPC1000, the label showing is MPC1000BK only. The serial no. is (21)K10804022309197"

Does this friend work for retail? If not then ask him to move a corner pad and if others around it move also, its good. If i recall, BK-N is the serial with good pads. But dont quote me. If you dont mind me asking, how much is he selling it for?

Thats the surefire way to tell. Turns out the serial number thing isnt 100%

u ve to wiggle, move the pads if the others around are moving it s ok...

the old pads won t move at all!!!
