Yeah so i just got a Korg R3 and am hooking it up through MIDIto my MPC1000. Its recording the midi fine and everything but as soon as i change a sound, it plays my previously recorded sound with this new sound and loses all my parameters. This makes it impossible to record more than one track. Does anyboy know why it is doing this i cant figure it out...

Did you changed your program when you changed your track?

i dont know if only JJOS does this but you can select the patch number when you change the MIDI program to "No. 1" then move to the 1 and change it to the patch number of the corresponding sound you want on the midi device.. it defaults to 1 so it always goes back to the first sound when you hit stop then start again..
might not have been what you were asking but hope it helps..

yeah i guess its not gona work because the korg r3 isnt a true muli-timbral keyboard so i will just have to direct record into the mpc as a wav file
