recording drums

hi wondering if anyone can help.

everytime im recording in drums on my 1000 and im putting the extra kicks or hi hats in on the off beat, it wont play them exactly at the point i hit and will sometimes just snap it to the closest bar???. . .

any idea's anyone??

if u mean triplets. that wouldnt work.
