pad 1's velocity is more than the rest?

all i have to do is tap pad 1 and it's louder then any other one. i have to pound the rest of them just to come close.....i've checked the velocity tweak screen, and they're all the same (at 0). is this some type of preset? it's not bad really cuz i'm always using it for my kick, and i just go into the mixer and turn it down some....but there may come a time when i don't want to do it that way

Run a search on this board for Velocity Sensitivity Adjustment or something along those lines, and you'll read about the utility screen for doing just that. You can even out the sensitivity among all the pads.

Or, just go to Other mode (Mode->Pad10) hit F3 to enter the Footsw page, hold Shift and hit F4. This will take you to the hidden page for modifying sensitivity.

But if the pads don't feel right, you need to adjust the values. 0 is default, but mine were all over the place when I first looked. They're even crazier since I adjusted them, but the pads feel much better to me. Try lowering the figure for Pad 1 so that your hardest hit makes the bar graph almost hit the top, see if the other pads also need adjusting.
