stuck on timing correct and delete sounds

when ever i try and record in real time all the notes are stuck in permanent timing correct, like if i play some notes on the mpc1000 everything i play is in perfect time. how do i shut this off? i know you can hold timing correct while playing a sequence, but it is playing everything in time as if the timing correct is on automatic. i want to shut it off. also is there a way to permanently delete all the factory sounds and sequences? i tried to delete them and when i turned the machine back on they were back.

As for the factory sounds, you cant delete them. Only overwrite them. I just turn off autoload (Pg 75)

there is nothing on page 13 that helps me. I know how to record. I know how to sequence. It just started today, when i record something it is not being recorded like i am playing it. when i play back the sequence all the notes are rearranged in perfect timing with the beat. I do NOT want this. i know how to correct the timing if i want it corrected. but the mpc is running on automatic quantize.

On the main screen (F1 or F2) is the T.C. screen. In there you will see the options for quantize. you can turn it off there.

yeah ive been trying that. you press f1 to turn it on while recording or after recording. and if im not holding f1 while recording then it should be off right? yeah im been doing that and it still stays on.
i get mad and beat on the mpc, throw it up against the wall, pour ketchup on it. maybe thats why its broken. no really i tried all this sht already the thing is just stuck on tc.

without being in record mode press F1 and turn it off. Then your NEXT recording will not have quantize. If you already have a part with the quantize recorded you can CHANGE the quantize using fix however i dont think you can change quantized notes to not be quantized. In that case you would have to change the setting and re record the part.

before you record hit f1 and turn your jog wheel all the way to the right until it says timing off...that should do it.

I got exact same problem, nothing helps. It records right, without quantize, but when I press Mode+PAD15, then Tap Tempo+any note value (1\16, 1\8 etc ) MPC quantizes automatically. When I go then to main screen and to TC, its really set to a value from grid edit mode.
