Directional arrow keys

Last night my MPC was working just fine. So tonight when I tried to work, the directional arrow keys just crapped out all of a sudden. I have the red and blue MPC 1000. Everything else seems to be working fine. Any Sherlock Holmes types out there wanna help me solve the mystery?
