turning stereo samples into mono

first off, i wanna thank all the producers who have been posting useful stuff in here. i've had an mpc for almost a year now and have learned much from this forum. now to my problem...

so i recorded some bass samples into my 1000 and i accidentally recorded it in stereo when it should have been mono. now the sample is only playing out of the left channel. is there anyway i can make the sample mono again?

mono should make it play out of one channel and stereo should be both..

To convert it press Mode+PAD6 then scroll to the right. You will see a display that has 2 lines and one with an "X" on it. That is where you convert it to MONO.

if theres loads to convert you can use a wave editor like wavosaur to convert a whole batch of samples in one go.

U can switch them to mono. But u need JJos for that.

In JJos u have different options in the trim -> edit page.
U can mix the stereo signal into a mono signal using both sides,
U can use the leftside of the wave to make it mono, or
u can take the rightside and turn that into a mono signal.

If u use it wisely it can be a very useful feature

hey man, is this jjos? im running akai os and i really cant see what you're talking about.

resample mono from the left (internal) channel.

To convert all samples to mono... why not disconnect the L or R main out?
