heya, sorry upfront for being another noob needing help.
i just bought a used mpc1000 on sunday, now its my day off so i'm working out how to use it properly. i've worked out how to sequence loops, different tracks, quantize, use the effects and mixer, etc.
but... i'm having a bit of trouble loading samples from the hard disk, when i select a folder to load nothing seems to happen but its got 15gig of samples on it.
it won't let me go into the folders to see the samples, but i hooked it up to my computer and in the folders theres loadsa sounds? so i'm stuck with autoload sounds. is it not letting me use them b'cos they aren't assigned to pads or something?
i've copied all the samples to my computer so was thinking it might be easier to wipe the mpc and load the samples on that i want, lots of the ones on there are pretty crazy that i don't really want, it came from a production company making all kinds of stuff for music, tv and film, so theres a folder on there with about 300 porsche 911 and corvette sounds!
is there a way to delete individual samples or will this take for ever, so would it be easier to just wipe it and start from scratch? how do i wipe it fresh?
Cheers for the help.
