Sound when in LOAD&TRIM.... No SOUND in MAIN&PROGRAM

-Updated Akai OS
-No Ram upgrades
-No JJos Upgrades

Hello, I'm trying to help out a homie with his MP. He has the MPC1000 old school Blue and Red with none of the upgrades.

I can't figure out what's going on with homie's MP. You can hear the sample play back in LOAD and TRIM mode. But when you upload the sound to a pad in Program mode you can't hear ANY sound, but you can see the sample on the pad.

In MAIN mode you can see the PGM: is changed to the newly named Program that he's created. So it's not because on the program not being the correct one.

I've searched the forums and can't seem to figure this out. If anyone has dealt with this problem I would appreciate your out look on this.

Yup I double checked that too.

is the right program selected for the track?

Yes. He's starting on SEQ1, TRACK1, PROGRAM recently created switched in MAIN mode. The cat can't even hear the sound of the sample in MAIN Mode or PROGRAM mode and can see the kick on A1, Snareon A2, and hat on A3. But when he hit the pad even on full level he cant hear sound.

Is this someone your talking to online, or can you actually get your hands on the thing? I bet if you can get ahold of it, the problem would be solved very quickly...

check that the qlink sliders are not set to control volume.
also check that the volume is not down in the mixer screen.
and if those don't work make sure he didn't assign the pads to any of the extra outs...

Success! The guy I was working with reset his MPC and it works now.
