Hello, my name is Michael O'Hagan and I really need some help/info about the MPC 1000 series, here it goes.
I just started working on a new project with an MC, he had made all his beats on an MPC 1000 that he no longer has, he has all of his MP sequence files and samples, I dont want to sit and recreate every beat from the samples, is there anything out there that can read and translate MPC seq data into general midi, besides an actual MPC 1000?
new question- if I find someonw with an MPC could I email the MPC's .seq files to someone without the audio samples and have them convert or export to .smf format?
can you open the seq on an mpc without the audio samples?
I am really not wanting to re-sequence the entire album from the samples, any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks.
I use ableton live with a remote SL and some other software, I was told that an MPC 1000 can save as standard midi files, .smf that ableton can open no problem.
this is the MC (Will Pack) and myself.
