Large Pro on the MPC 1000 and Simplicity

I don't know if he's ever stated it directly in an interview before, but Extra P talks about his preference for the 1000. Before this I just saw the pic of the 1000 in his studio.

"Mad Scientist" is one of my favorite songs of all time. "Keep it Rollin" was my favorite song on "Midnight Marauders." Ending the song with " buy my album when I drop it," blew my 17 year old mind (so simply effective). It makes me happy that we use the same beast. The first I heard of Large Pro was on "Pump it Up". Anything Sistah Dee approved was in my collection. "Pump it Up" is gone in the wind, though, even on youtube the only clips I found was an in-home interview with NWA and another with Cube. She used to do like a whole show spotlighting different acts, and it seems like P was on one of them. I definately remember the "Lookin' at the Front Door" vid premiere. Anyway I should just ask her if she can hook me up, I subscribed to Dee Barnes' youtube channel.

Word. First time I caught "Pump it Up" was while flipping through channels at like 12 AM. That show was the shit. It was far more in depth than "Yo! MTV Raps" and they played videos MTV was too scared to. Still remember it used to come on channel 7. I'd watch that show and feel like I was in on some sort of secret because nobody else seemed to peep it.
