Hi guys,

Today I just purchased some monitors and I have run into a problem: I am only hearing sound out of the left monitor. Everything is hooked up correctly. I suspect the problem is with my mpc. The samples I am working with were all recorded when I was playing the mpc out of my guitar amplifier. I remember that I was always plugging into the left channel. Is there any way to correct this without having to re-record? When I record new stuff the sound is coming out of both speakers, just not when I'm playing back in the song mode.

Any help you could offer would be awesome.

Thanks,
Spencer

are you 100% sure that one monitor is not plugged to an assignable out or the input of the MPC? Try these:

1. Plug one monitor into the Left output jack on the MPC.
2. Plug the second monitor in the same jack. Now if you have audio on both then you know its not the monitors.
3. Plug the first monitor into the right output on the MPC
4. repeat the process for the other monitor

If you have audio on both outs of the MPC and the speakers then you have something wired wrong somewhere in the chain.

I tried your suggestions, they still aren't working. The monitors do not appear to be the problem. I've used a USB cable to play music off of my computer and both monitors are working. It must be something to do with the MPC. Thanks for your help though.

I actually had this problem last week - simply restarted the MPC and all was good in the hood lol!
