BootBlock System Halt ! Please Help !

Wassup people! Here's my proplem:

BootBlock 1.03
Boot on SoDimm memory check
Total memory size :128mb
Check memory ...........
pass 1: 1% to 49% then BLAOW !

pass 1: failed (88000000)
The problem was found in memory.
Please check memory.

This ram was took form a MPC 500 and its still fully working in it. For those who remember, one of my ram holder clip is gone. (Picture : http://i434.photobucket.com/albums/qq66 ... C01710.jpg ) The MPC is working great without the ram. Tried with the akai os and free JJOS, didnt change a thing. It always get fail at 50% of the memory check. If I email akai, they will probaly tell me to buy original exm128 ram.
Any suggestions?

I am having the same problem... system halt/boot block....
searching for os file not found....where did it go???

I bought a card reader and loaded the OS back to the card....
and nothing....whats going on???


In the manual it says I can reset it....I cant.....

I have not turned my mpc on for a month.....

You got an OS problem, I have a memory problem, not the same, but probably equally frustrating. Put the os on your card in the root, hold window and turn on your MPC, try to reinstall your os.
Back on my case.
Ive looked closely at my ram holder and the previous owner try to desolder it, probably to fix it but it dosenty look too good. Man! 10mb of pleasure, i'll go Premo style then !

im also having the same problem with my mpc 1000. im having the os error message. i had installed the free jjos a week ago and it was working fine and then all of a sudden i fire up my mpc and i get that error message. if i buy a card reader and put my jjos on it and out it in the mpc, will it work? what do you mean by putting it in the root?
