gap- pad fix the 2 nd

as i did my mpc 1000 handles mod:

i had to openthe mpc to see that my wonderful electrical pad fix was gone!!!!

i was so irritated that i did not take any photos, sorry,

as i glued the 4 layers directly to the pads, the went off the position,(after a few months)

not centered anymore....!!! nyms silicone fix will not have this trouble! - another try,

so i decided to glue the gab directly to oposite plane surface of the

transparent plastic and its much better fixed!:

handles are cool, but i think i would just make end caps that had protrusions that are higher than the knobs and buttons. maybe out of plexiglass...

i thought about this too!! cool suggestion! for shure a thing to try!
i would like to see how it looks like....
the thing is, i want to get the wood side caps from needlework....
and the mpc 1k cap fixation in this case is a bit complicate....
so i went for the retro laboratory style.( it s fun, musical to use!)
the new space-beat generator lab ramp, launching peace to the world.....

bumping an old thread here... did anyone ever try this method? it seems like having the tape directly on the sensors would apply pressure to the sensors without even pushing down on the pads..?

it applies NO pressure at all because ther s a gap between the pads and the sensor.

if u tape too much ther s a pressure naturally....

yes, it works super, i had the tape at the beginning fixed on the pads,

after a few weeks, the tape has been moving around... so the next step: fixation on the sensor. still fine. super pad feeling.

really necessary mod.
