problem with mpc and midi

ok i dnt kno why but wen i make a midi track sometimes i can hear da midi wen i close out of the record mode but then it stops working. i jus need to hear da sound from my input but while i hear da beat on da main screen so i can record da midi notes. now i kno it aint going to record da sound but i jus need to hear it so ican kno wat it sounds like n record da midi notes den i go to the record screen n record da sound. but it doesnt always work i cant hear da sound out loud in da main page plz help.

my bad . let me try this again i use my computer as my sound module. ok now i want to use midi write on my mpc so i make track one my midi track. now when i go to the record screen i can hear the sound coming from my daw when i hit the pads on my mpc or my keyboard which is hook up throung midi to my mpc. now realize that i cant record midi to my mpc at the same time am in the record screen. rite!!! now sometimes i go back to my main screen n i can still here the sound from my daw. this enables me to rcord my midi at the same time i hear my drum patterns. but it doesnt always work. are yall idiots with me or do i gotta explain this shit again no offense

i can make a beat with a **** can and stick. wat the **** u worried about.ive been playing the drums and the piano since i was 12 and i use to use fl loops but i hated not bieng able to play things on time with my usb keyboard so i bought an mpc1000 which im starting to hate now too.plz jus help me out im bout to throw this shit out da window. theres nothing like a live performance.
