Midi out synth automation

I'had search on forum but i can't find an answer...
I want to buy an access virus and connect at the midi out port of my 1000. Can the 1000 record automation of filter, res, etc...? If yes, how?
I dont want to use a Pc even if is the easier soluction...

U can record filtersweeps and level changes, realtim pitch shift by using the sliders.

With jjos 1 you can record control changes. Can't remember if you can with akai's os...
