I need to use a drumtrigger with my mpc1000 (bass drum trigger to mpc). I have the trigger, but I need a small device to convert from trigger to midi. Does anybody know a good solution?
I only need to use one trigger, so I am looking for something as small as possible. By that I mean really small, much smaller than the Alessis DM-5 (matchbox size)

I was wondering if it would be possible to use the RECORD IN somehow (threshold to adjust...) - just a thought.

Roland/Yamaha/etc... make the brain drum modules that can convert trigger pads to midi (and audio)...

You can probably google something for a DIY solution, and depending on the voltages involved you *might* be able to rig something up on one of the two front foot switches though I have no idea about that.

OK - I try one more time with another header ;-)

Anybody have a triggerbox solution, that takes less space than an Alessis I/O??
I need to trigger my bass drum, and go as directly as possible to my MPC. Does anybody know if there is a solution, where you use the footswitch channels or maybe the RECORD INs...?

The drumpads works as piezo electric devices which sends out a small current when hit. What you need is some sort of gate which responds to that signal and connects the tip and base on a jack plug. Then jam it into one of the pedal inputs on the MPC.

I hope that you understand this.
