mpc 1000 pad malfunction please help

hi there i have mpc 1000 and if i leave it off for a long period of time when i turn it on the pads start playing on there own and i don't push anything. i have to leave it for around 10 minutes until this stops then it works fine until the next time.

any advice would be appreciated

but i ran the test and it says there are no problems with the pads all sensors are working fine. it must be something else

which 1k is it? Im assuming the blue?

no its the mpc 1000 bk edition the black one

Oooh! Really? Hmmmm....different story then. Try opening it up and cleaning the sensors. There can be debris in between the pad and the sensor causing it to trigger. Also check the connection for the sensors.

i have opened thhe machine and removed all wire and put them back 2gether and the problem is still there

I think you need to call in an Exorcist.

i tried with all OS's and all the pads go randomly very rapidly. then it acts normal again for the 90% of the time.

THIS IS HAPPENING TO ME TO. I BARELY BOUGHT MINE AND ITS DOING THE SAME THING. I TOOK IT TO GUITAR CENTER AND THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM SO I DUNNO.

IF YOU BARELY BOUGHT IT YOU SHOULD ALL THE WAY RETURN IT

if you had that mpc bought recently and it's under warranty i'd suggest you to send it to real service thru the shop you got it from. i had mine used and i'd need to send the mpc to another country for repair and pay all expenses so i'm guessing i can get another used mpc for the same price....

but if you get that mpc fixed eventually PLEASE send the report what was wrong and how it was repaired. would be very interesting to hear since i've heard this has happened to a couple of mpc's though it seems to be rare problem.
