Denon DN-S5000 cd player w/ the MPC1K

Does anyone use, or know much about using a Denon DN-S5000 cd player w/ the 1k? Can I connect to the 1000 directly, or do I need a pre-amp or some other device? Once connected, can I then record cd samples/scratches from the cd player into the 1k? Thanks.

It's only some turntables, and microphones, that need a preamp, anything else typically puts out line-level and can be hooked up directly, then you can record whatever the Denon puts out, absolutely.

If I read right, the Denon DN-S5000 has digital out, so you can even try hooking it up to the MPC1000 digital in, and choose Digital in Record mode.
