2 problems im having with my 1k PLZZ HELP

ok my two problems that i cant seem to figure out how to fix but i know r fixable are.
1. i have a juno d midi'd to my 1k but i can only record one sound from th ejuno...if i switch a sound for a new track it changes the previous tracks i layed with the other sound...iv seen people switch sounds on one keyboard with one mpc on videos i know it can be done !just caxnt figure it out
2.ok say i sample a 7 second part off a record then chop it up create a program..once i lay one part of the samples down on one track..when i try to over lay some samples on another track witht he same program they cut off weirdly ..
ANY HELP

1. make sure if you want to change the sound, change the midi channel, if you want to keep the same sound, keep the same midi channel...


2. do you have it as mono?

how do i switch it form mono to poly and is it the program i created that im switching?....

and iv tried selecting dif midi channles like 1a 2a n still cant get it to work
