Love the timing. But when I load the gold baby sounds into it, it cuts of the initial transient of my kicks.

Like my s770 does until you set the env to 0. But guess what, i can set the env to 0, its 0 by default, and it still kills the initial click of the kick drum.

Ultrabeat does this as well. So far battery and my s770 do it with the transient, cept the retrig problems on my s770 make it unusable really for drums.

This is ridiculous.

Unless someone can tell me how to fix this problem, with it killing my transients on my kicks, i'm taking this back to the store.

I'm really disappointed again. Everything was going right, then I discover this bug.

I need a real hardware sampler than can play back kicks worth a crap. So far a big NIL on the mpc 1000. I didn't care for the akai 3200 either.

Oh, and one more thing, It does not sound better than my s770, or batter, it's actually a little worse or on par with battery as far as the sound goes :(

I was using the jjos and i tried the standard os.

also, here, i will upload this file.

http://www.velvetacidchrist.com/909BD_Sweet01.wav

Load that into your mpc 1000, and listen to it in wav lab then compare it.

No i have all the effects turned off.

I compared its sound next to batter and my s770. It was not as good as either. That is hard to say.

I have years of libs that I am not willing to give up for a real 909. I have great samples of it any how, if only I could find a sampler worth a damn.

Damn. I guess mikolo didn't read your post well enough to comment on it. That's a shame. I did however, but I don't understand why you feel so entitled to an answer by anyone on this forum. Whoever said that you would get a sound out of the Mp that you would like better than your current set up?

Yes, I'm a new owner and experienced this huge bug too. There seems to be an attack envelope even if attack=0. I mailed Akai with examples, still they have not confirmed this bug. Only 'sollution' so far is to add a couple of samples silence in front of the sample but of course this does damage to the timing. And you definitely do not want to manually modify your entire sample library as a workaround for this bug. Just want to know. Did you try jjos and can you confirm that the problem does not exsist there?

Wow, i just got the 1000 model after being on the 500, which doesn't have this problem. But if you put two sample "tics" (hope you understand) before the start, then you cant hear it.

Can someone give me some specifics here? Eimer-- by 2 tics you mean it cuts off the first two individual "samples?" I'm not sure that would even be audible

Anyway good thing I usually leave some air in front of my sounds..
