A question about MIDI OUT to a soundcard...

I have a m-audio fast track pro and my monitors are hooked up to it.

Can I run a cord from the MIDI out of my MPC to the MIDI In of my M-audio joint to get sound through my monitors?

And if so, does that mean the MPC1000 "converts" the samples to MIDI instead of them being .wav files still? As I thought that a MIDI connection couldn't actually move real audio...

Why don't you just run your stereo outs to your mbox, or straight to your monitors

I can...I'm just wondering if you also sdo it via MIDI.
