That "old-school industrial" feeling

Hello,
so far I've been using my MPC1000 only for powerlectronics/harsh industrial, so no rhytmic parts/basses/etc.
I'm now considering starting a new project, but I'm finding it difficult to recreate the feeling I'm looking for, that oppressive, heavy sound and grrove of early Skinny Puppy, first Ministry, My life with the Thrill Kill Kult etc.
Any suggestion?

double your tempo. if you wanna make a beat at 140, try working at 280.

in jj os u can change the bit rate, and the heavy use of the bit crusher,
i use it doubled , creates realgoood industrial sounds,
a good tip is also to run ur loopsthrough the boss mt2 distortion....

I'll try these over the weekend.
I've had my MPC for less than one month now, and every time I turn it on I have new ideas or I think of new ways to use it.
Hopefully I'll have something ready soon!
