"Wrong file" message

Hi guys.
When I try to load WAV files (bounced from Logic into my Mpc I get a "Wrong file" message. How can that be?

hey man i get the same thing, either wrong file... or sometimes entire programs or files will be missing. at first i thought it was the CF cards i was using, so i bought new ones... same thing happened. i tried re-seating the ram... same thing.

I've been reading some stuff about the older akai OS's have this problem, so actually today i bought new ram that i'm gonna put in, and then i'll re-install the OS. I'll hit you back and tell you if that fixed it. peace.

i've had this problem while trying to load 24 bit wav files and didn't know it
dunno if that might be ur case, but give it a shot and see

You need to convert your sounds to 16bit gents

Make Sure your .WAV Files are 16 BIT! Make sure your File names are 16 Characters or less.

Example:

GOOD: File_namempc1000.wav
NO GOOD: File_namempc1000rules.wav
