when i'm recording a sequence the overdub isn't quite overdubbing. as it loops it is erasing some of what has just been played.. how do i stop it doing this and get it to add to what has been already played as it loops?

well you do have to use the overdub button if you want it to overdub..
all mpc's have two rec buttons, c'mon man rtfm!

Are you trying to overdub audio or midi/drum/program?

i'm using the overdub function (the light is on) and i'm triggering the audio samples using the pads.
