Transferring audio from MPC to PC

Hi,

Is there a way on the MPC 1000 to save a sequence (a drum or sample loop) as a loop internally??

Basically, when I record real time from my MPC to sound card I lose a lot of sound quality as my sound card is pretty crap....

If i could save a sequence as a loop then I could just transfer through USB, therefore not losing sound quality.....

no. the mpc can't do that. just run a cable & record it into your computer's interface like everyone else is forced to.

just make sure to seq your shit out and have loop turned off if you want to record loops.

when i switch to RECORD MAIN OUT while playing a sequence i've made... the meters indicate no sound coming in... what am i doing wrong then? i thought this could only be done on the 2500.

yes i think its correct that the meters dont show up.try to record it should work

it records the file at whatever setting you have the output set to. e.g. a -6db setting would record your file in at -6db

and would there be a way for the recording to start and stop on it's own with the sequence... to record JUST THE SEQUENCE as a loop? 'cause if not, he may as well just record it into his computer if he's gonna have to slice it up and set the loop points anyway.
