Issue with timing on mpc after recording/making a beat

Hey guys. I have an mpc 1000 and an issue I'm trying to figure out.
When I make a beat it seems that the beat is quantizing? Or swinging? Or something automatically. It sounds syncopated and almost "Drum machine" like which isn't the style I'm going for.
I'm going for laid back hip hop beats. Even doing a simple beat the mpc seems to do some auto-timing thing. I'm not sure what it is. I've gone into T.C., and windowed the bpm. Not sure what to do??

You gotta turn Time Correction OFF.
The BPM should have no effect on the outcome of your playing other then your own ability to keep simple time along with the chosen tempo.

So once its off, its off...
No hat tricks after that.

You should try a slow bpm first and play something that only occurs on the downbeats maybe....whatever it is, keep it simple. I assume you already tried this by your original comment but just figured Id offer some quick advice.
If this type of playing is new to you because you normally quantize or haven't been playing that long - a common thing that happens to new players is your ear will hear what you played one way in contrast to what was really recorded and how your timing actually sounds. Thats really the only legit explanation if your timing still feels off and your TC is set to off.

ya that sounds like an issue that I am having.
I use jjos so turning off timing change would just be going into T.C. and turning off tempo change?

I dont use JJ's OS anymore but last time i messed with it the standard features from the stock OS were the same.

Not sure what your referring to by "Tempo Change".
Tempo Change & Time Correction are 2 totally different things.

If theres a tempo change occurring thats only possible when u link 2 sequences together in Song Mode with different tempos and then convert to a new sequence.

Time Correction is just that. It controls whether or not you decide to record your notes in the way you play them "OFF", or to a chosen resolution, ie. 1/16, 1/32, etc.....
