I need help Cubase Sx 3.0 wont record midi from MPC1000

Im using Jjos version 4.99 for the Mpc1000.

After syncing cubase as a slave through midi, i press play on my mpc cubase follows. But when i press record on my mpc, cubase doesnt record it only plays back in Cubase. Can anyone help me fix this problem? Ive been troubleshooting, reading cubase help tutorial for days and i still cant figure this out. Any help will be appreciated.

Try this program and check what MIDI Messages Your MPC is sending:
http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/

If U are using Windows, You must find the equivalent program.

Meaby it's U'r MPC - not Cubase.
