how do i save the voice overlap in the program folder?

i want to save the voice overlap in the program (pad 7 on the mpc 1000). I want to switch it from poly to mono, and when i save that and shut down the mpc, it doesn't recall the setting.
Anyone have some tips? this is quite frustrating as i want to use them mono live and have to program that when i am playing live and that's just very lame shit!

After switching any settings, make sure you hit the Main button to bring you back to the main screen. Just hitting this button saves a lot of the settings in the machine. If you shut the Mp off before doing this you can loose many of these settings. If you have already done this... I'm stumped. Good luck.

If i'm understanding you right here, that setting is program dependant, not global. So you need to save a program with that setting changed. If you want it to be that way every time you start your machine, put this program in your auto load folder (I think how you do this varies depending on which OS you are using ).
