I bought a CF card and i forgot to format it. i started to save my samples and sequences on it and when i try to load the samples from the CF card the hole thing freezes up. But it doesnt do that to the CF card that came with it. I formated the New Compact Flash card but it still freezes up on me. I dont no if its my compact flash card drive or my CF card. Does any one have the same problem?

Do a search through this forum..some people had problems with specific cards. The MPC might just not like your new card.

First of all you should start by giving us more specs about this NEW "mystical" CF card. Like, brand, size....
Until then...format the card on your MPC.

I bought a 512MB Lexar card and had the same trouble... MPC1000 wouldn't read it. My camera wouldn't read it either. My PC card reader couldn't read (or format) it either. Took it back to CompUSA, they couldn't get any of their cameras to read/format it either. Prognosis... bad card. Maybe you have one too. It happens.

BTW, swapped it for another Lexar 512MB and it has worked flawlessly.

I have one of those and it works OK. Try to exchange it.

i know there are a lot of problems with sandisks!!!

MPC didn't really count on that brand or something. this is a fact.

So this is my TIP:

DONT BUY SANDISK FOR YOUR MPC1000
