I managed to strip one of these from an OLD laptop. Just curious if I can use it as a RAM upgrade rather than get ripped off from AKAI...looks the same, dont know much about this part of the MPC though. I hope so lol...

it should work...just read the ram upgrade reconmendations and see if yours match what they are saying to use to be sure...or pop it in the back and tae it for a test run....

HYNIX should work fine. I have the actual Akai RAM and the chips say HYNIX on them. HYNIX is, or at least, was, an OEM manufacturer.
