I just started using a MPC . Its a mpc 1000 . And I have no clue how it works. What is the best way to get started ? SHOULD i BUY A TUTORIAL BOOK? ANY INPUT IS GOOD .

go to the akaipro website and download the manual, then read it.

reading the manual will give you an idea of what the machine can do while at the same time it will give you ideas of what you can do with the machine.


read all the threads in the mpc1000 section, because 98% of your questions will be answered in there... and if it isn't then use the search feature here on the website, because 98% of the remaining 2% of your questions will be answered there.

read the manual on the key sections

so learn how to sample
how to assign samples
how to chop
and how to program sequences
how to assign fx

in toding that ull learn the key tasks in beat making and grasp how the os is laid out then ull be able to find the additional features u need.

also get jjos dont waste time with the akia os

Search YouTube for MPC1000. There is a schit load of vids to watch and learn from.

And read the "friendly" manual.
