Not sure where to post this but. I just got my chip samsung 256mb 133 pc etc. At first i had jjos 3.08 nothing showed up. So i installed the 4.99 then reinstalled the card and it just blinking MPC 1000 (128MB installed). When i take the card out every thing is fine. I did the gently thing too, all i could find in the forum. Could i use alcohol to clean the tips off. :?:

If you don't get a certain ram stick do you even get the full 256mb?
Try and do a search or maybe someone will post up the correct statement cause
I remember reading something about that somewhere. Shouldn't it be a Kingston stick?
...in order to get the full 256?

I've got an MPC 1000 running JJ OS2 and I having the exact same problem. I bought SAMSUNG PC-133 256 Mb memory and installed it correctly. When my I boot it up I arrive at the memory check screen where I can see that the MPC recognizes the memory (128MB installed), then instead of going to the main screen everything goes green and I return back to the memory check screen, the process continues...

Many people on the forums seem to be successful with SAMSUNG ram don't they. Has anyone experienced similar problems with their ram SAMSUNG or otherwise? I was briefly hoping I wouldn't have to exchange it for something else because I got a good deal. Any Ideas?

My experience in finding memory was a trip. I literally tried 20 different sticks from local computer shops and from what i've learned you just have to keep trying different ones until you find one that works. Or bite the bullet and break bread with AKAI...
