midi mpc1000 to akai s1000

i am having problems using my mpc1000 (with jjos 4.99) to trigger my akai s1000, i have the cables connected and i have the mpc sync out screen set to "midi clock" and "on" i am not sure how to set up the s1000 but i got it to channel "all" can anyone help me with this? thanks

Don't have to do all that stuff. U only have to be sure that ur cables are hooked up correctly.
Go to the track in ur mp's sequencer in which u want to record ur s1000 events. Turn program off in this track and assign this track to one of the midichannels. Assign the program in ur s1000 to the same channel et voila, ur done.
Maybe put the notes in correct chromatic order in the midi/sync menu -> note in ur mp
