Chopping up samples

I know how to chop samples but I always have a problem coming up with my own grooves from them. King I Divine and Boon Doc are masters at it! Can anyone gove me any advice, tips, or pointers?

U have to train ur ears on recognizing a good sample. Develop skills on chopping and rearranging them. So it takes practice. Everyone has his or her favorite type of samples to mess with, and methods to construct a beat out of it. No one can give u advice on that. Some samples will be invaluable to me, while the same sample get somebody else's creative juices flowing.

Just make a lot of beats, apply different methods and see what works for YOU.
