BASS?

Just want to know who uses what for basslines??? I use a microkorg(which i don't fully understand yet) I run the korg midi into the mp and sequence a bassline, however not sure how to layer the korg sounds. I think someone from this forum on youtube explained you need a "polyphonic" keyboard like the triton or some ish.

Some bass multi sample programs I use. Sometimes I use Reason, sometimes I use a sampled one shot with the 16 levels. Sometimes chopped and filtered basslines. Sometimes I use the low end of the sample. It really depends on what kind of track I'm working.

Kool, what do you mean by a samples one shot? and 16 levels? Just curious

A one shot is one single note. It's quite hard to find clean bassnote's on vinyl.
I assign that sample to one of the pads and press the 16level button. There u can choose from 16 levels of velocity, tune, filter etc. Pick the 16 levels of tune and u have over an octave of bass.

safe, okay i figured you meant that or similar to like sampling one note of a bass tone and possibly dispersing it to 16 pads each pad with a different tone...

That's also an option. It's more time consuming but allows u to have more control over each tone individually. Many ways lead to Rome.

For the most part I play my basslines out on the motif

I use a Moog Voyager SE or my Studio Electronics ATC-1 for bass sounds.

You can always sample bass sounds from your MicroKorg and layer them on your Mp. You have 32 voices to play with...
