outputs only work when playing samples from trim mode?

I got a beat up 1k almost a month ago, got the pad fix and it has worked fine until right now.
I'll load up a program and sequences and no sounds play from the outputs or headphone jack unless
i play the loaded samples from trim mode. The outs are kind of beat up but i havent noticed any bad signals.
My memory card isn't messed up because i tried loading the internal sounds and programs and the same thing
went down. its not the pads either because i get a velocity signal.
Has anyone ever seen this?

Never mind, for some reason the sounds to pad in the midi section were turned off.
