seeing how the pads are not connected stuck to/wired etcdirectely to any pieces and just seem to have the 16 pad sheet sit there is it possible to buy buy a black pad set, red pad set, and separate the different color pads in a pattern instead of having to have all one color?

anybody tried/done this

i don't have the pad upgrade but gonna get it but would like to mix three colors to go with custom design style flip color scheme

it's possible to do that you just wouldnt have them all on one sheet thats all. just make sure you make even cuts.

i would buy one pad sheet seperate it then try it out and if it works buy another pad sheet and seperate that one.

i recently bought the pag upgrade for 180$ with black pads

the black pads looks nice but they get like dirty with white crap just after playing them for 5min.. i dunno i guess its like skin fat or something.. and this happends even if i wash my hands real clean before...

i guess same thing happens with the grey, but you just dont see it

i was planning on getting the red pads, then after seeing the install video had the multi color pad idea

might get the install kit with red ones then get an extra set of white one and a set of black and see how each look with my style flip and painted side panels

I really like how the red pads look with the black and red design on this mpc
and the colors fit my logos too so red pads are my first choice

poundaproblem wrote:wait are you asking if the black pads will fit over the old pad style? Because I would think not. The old indiduals had the rubber pad part integrated in the sensor. I would imagine it would get pretty effed up trying to seperate them.

no i mean with the upgrade kit to the new 1 6pads on 1 attached sheet style
after upgrade could multiple pad sheets be separated and different colors be mixed/matched on top the sensers

as long as were placed in position. are the pads 3m ed to the sensors or just sit on top held in place by the top casing?

i gues i mean is any harm done to the new pads themselves if a sheet of 16 is separated square by square then placed on the sensorss
eck with mpcstuff
maybe will ch

Only problem i guess you could get into is that the pads won't sit tight onto one spot as they are normally positioned as one complete sheet held down by the top plate.

What i also saw is that the sheet has 9 pins falling into some holes in the pad holder.

Or you could glue them on the sides together to one sheet again..?!

yeah those holes are what i'm worried about f@#in up like alignment wise

I'mma see if mpc stuff will put a set toegether for like 100 added to the 180 or somethin if they are able to test the theory with some spares or somethin
