Loading recorded samples into the pads???

After I record and edit a sample on the MPC how can I use that sample in a beat I have already started on? For example, I havent loaded any outside drums yet im just using the ones that came with the MPC to learn the system. But, now I have a beat going and I want to record a sample (which I can do) but how do I find it and use it within the beat I have going?

I swear they shoulda called that thing a WOMANUAL... woulda got more reads i think..

anyway.. u hit mode -> program -> select empty pad and empty slot and use the jog wheel to scrolll thru the currently loaded samples til u reach the one u want.. and voila... hit main and bang the pad
