Loading sounds from Computer to MPC, how to

Sorry if this comes out stupid but I'm new to my 1000 and actually dont have a manual at the moment.
Im just wondering what the most effcient way of getting drum sounds I have on my computer onto my MPC, ive tried dragging them into my CF card then opening them in my mpc but that doesnt seem to work.
If anyone has any advice on how they do it that would be awsome, cheers.

type "mpc1000 manual" into google... and click on the first result. you now have the manual. read it & your welcome...

On your computer make sure your files are .wav put them in folders and name the folders what kind of sounds they are

hook the usb cord from your mpc to your computer and navigate to your mps's usb mode, now your computer should show the flash card in your mpc as a drive under "my computer" drag/drop the sound folders you made into the the flash drive so they will be copied onto the card.

After your sound folders are copied onto the flash card, right click the drive icon and choose safely remove from computer. When the icon disappears you can detach the usb cord.

go to your mpc's load screen and use your jog dial to choose cf card you should be able to scroll through your sound folders, to get into a folder press the right arrow button press the f button that has play over top of it to audition a sound sample then choose to "keep" load into ram and/or assign to a pad.

continue loading sounds until you have a kit you like or run out of ram 16 mb or 128mb


your best bet at this point is going to be to buy this book

yeh hes rght make sure the files are .wav. Sometimes i can be lazy tho ill jus play samples i want to chop up from the computer thru the line ins on the my 1000. but its all depends on how u like to do it wuteva is easier for you. but when u drag and drop from computer to CF yes def gotta make sure the files are wav files. use a file converter if u have to.

Yeah I got it working now, I think the whole thing was I just didnt know to click the right curser button..
