lower the volume on a track!

let's say I recorded my sequence, can I lower the volume on one of my tracks?

Go to the program you wish to lower the volume hit the window key, on the velocity part of the screen lower the preset number to your liking. Thats it

Hmmm.. Pretty sure it dont say how to lower a the volume of a track mate.. lower volume of pads in the mixer, and u can lower individual samples in mode -> prgoram but a whole track (that contains a program used in more than the one track) is more difficult..

On the subject though.. if i was you, fernandez, i'd use step edit and lower what needs lowering in the velocity fields... as long as u dont have too many events.. ull be there all day lol

Give the brother a break LW, it ain't in the manual because you just can't do it on the 1000 and that is a major gripe I have with this machine. U either lower the program level which affects all sequences that use that program of u do it note by note - a PITA and impossible on the fly

This option is available on the 2000XL that I used to own, why have AKAI skipped this on the 1000. It really pisses me when they do stuff like that.

they probably have skipped that on purpose (as most other batch midi data editing functions available on the 2kxl) to perserve the market value of the 2kxl, especially since they still sell the unit, they even chose to repackage it blue...

This said, you can COPY your programme to a new one, and lower the levels of the samples. It's probably the only work around that doesn't fukc up the rest of your sequences.

That's a litlle advantage of the MPC1000 over the 2000xl: it can hold as many as 24 programmes in RAM (the 2000xl can only hold 4).
