is it possible to work recycle with mpc1000?

Ok so I'm trying to chop beats in Recycle and import wav files into the mpc1000. im having a problem. If i have like 40 chops they r not coming in the mpc. its not the space cuze i still got a lot of space. when i chop it in recycle. i go to Export>choose Wave file (wav. wave) and i save it all in the folder. than import that folder with all the chops in it to my flash card. but when i open it in mpc there r only like 4-5 chops and they r the same thing. why is it doing that? any solutions? cuze i really like choping in recycle

also check the filename, either shorten it, or put a sequential number at the beginning of the filename. That is whats causing the "and they r the same thing" part.

make sure there are any ghost slices too......(i.e. duplicates on top of one another)

What's the maximum length of a filename?

I used to work with recycle, I remember the difficulty of exporting samples. Since that time I've started sampling on the MPC itself. Your problem might be that "Export Selected File as One Sample" is enabled. Also, test your samples before you upload them to the MPC.

16 characters on the 1k. By the way, the 1k will accept files with longer filenames, but it will only read the first 16. So these two samples would be "the same thing" when used on the 1k:

that bangin snare from that bangin record 1.wav
that bangin snare from that bangin record 2.wav

while these would work fine:

1that bangin snare from that bangin record.wav
2that bangin snare from that bangin record.wav

You just have to have one character different within the first 16.

Don't know of any freeware batch renaming apps for mac, but I use 'A Better Finder Rename'. Audiofinder also has a batch renamer (and you should definitely cop it anyway, its the dopest program for mac users who use samples).
