Effects for the Non-Save Entire Memory Crew

Just worked out last night that you can change which Effects set-up is being used per-sequence by inserting an EFFECT change in Step Edit... This has made me very happy and crosses off one of the things off my 'I wish my MPC did...' list.

Sorry if this is common knowledge, but I know from a few posts here before that some people were moaning about this.

That's true, just remember that the actual data (your FX settings) are in the Song file, so you can get away with saving "All Sequences and Songs", without the Programs & Samples.

yeah sure, i am more than aware that the actual settings are saved in the .all file! I'm just so happy to have found a way to change effects settings whilst out gigging without having to go into the effects page and skim through them all
(which in itself would sound dodgy!) - even better, ustilising this you can change effects settings down to each note! I reckon you could do some crazy trix using this...

like the 'workflow' thread too - it's definitely the most mind-bending aspect of MPC usage... i tend to have on my MPC at any one time: 24 programs, 50 sequences & 200+ samples organised into about 20 folders - all taking up 128 meg on a 128 meg CF card, so saving the entire memory is just not an option.
